We are a full service Thoroughbred horse farm located in the heart of the Bluegrass on 140 acres of limestone rich land, 45 stalls in four barns.
Broodmares are kept fat and happy with specialized care. Each mare is treated with respect and dignity, provided with spacious 16x16 foaling stalls monitored by cameras and 24-hour attendants.
Foals are imprinted and each baby is handled daily.
Weanlings and yearlings are allowed to grow big and strong on the lush bluegrass of limestone rich soil. We feed Hallway Feeds for optimal growth and superior bone strength.
Sales preparation is available for all ages of horses.
Lonnie Malicote, General Manager joined the team in 2005 with a wealth of TB knowledge from bloodstock consulting to exceptional keen sense of breeding. Our average conception rate is 96% and he specializes in difficult mares. Managing Thoroughbreds is not new to Lonnie. He grew up under the best as his father was farm manager for the top TB farms in Lexington. In 2005 Lonnie was breeder for the KY Derby runner, Coin Silver, at Biggs Farm. Lonnie oversees all the daily farm operations and visually inspects each and every horse daily.
Year round boarders are welcomed and encouraged. Horses are a creature of habit and don't like to be moved. Horses thrive with consistency and good care. A few clients participate in the out of state breeding program so we send those mares prior to foaling to states such as FL, MD, and NY. After foaling the mares return to Stoneybrooke. A year round boarding discount is available.
